X Factor

September 25, 2016 by helendobson

Once again, X Factor was a fantastic night enjoyed by all involved! This year 15 acts were due to take part but unfortunately as one child was ill we had 14 acts. They were accompanied by an array of amazing dancers. Children were involved from year 1 up to year 6 and all displayed a wonderful attitude. The children were joined by three judges; Mr Bell (our Chair of Governors); Mr Elliott ( Head of Wolsingham Comprehensive School ) and Miss Kacey Blenkinsop, a previous pupil who continues to come and support the school both on X Factor night and throughout the rehearsals.

The show was a sell out and the audience were thrilled with all acts. We were treated to a performance by Kacey ( a previous winner of X Factor ) while the votes were counted and verified. Then the announcement was made – Lewis Davis had won, singing  his interpretation of Livin’ On a Prayer by Bon Jovi. He had thrilled the audience with his whole performance. The night need with thanks to all the helpers and staff who supported the event and then Lewis performed his winning song again surrounded by all the other acts and dancers, who cheered him on. It had been a long few months with rehearsals starting back in February but when the night finally arrived in June everyone was raring to go. Thanks to everyone ( including staff and other pupils who helped with the refreshments )  and it has once again been a pleasure to work with the talented and enthusiastic children at Tow Law Millennium Primary.
