On Wednesday 7th June Miss Mawson, Miss Coates, Mr Bell, Miss Bell and Mrs Jackson took 19 children to the North Sheep Show. This is a major event in the sheep farming community and is held every two years. This year the honour was bestowed on West Shields Farm Tow Law, a 900-acre traditional mixed farm where 3 generations work together. We have, for many years, had strong links with this family and we are very proud to have had Scott and Claire Johnson, grandchildren of the Smith family, attending our school.
The event proved a huge success, our children thoroughly enjoyed the day and we were very impressed at how well organised the whole event was. It has to be said that their favourite part of the day was the tractor ride!
Many thanks to Julie and family for inviting us to be a part of this.
