At the end of Summer term 2016, the School Councillors and the Buddies completed a sponsored walk to raise money for the Guide Dogs. They raised an amazing total of £389.07. Wow!
This money was sent to the Guide Dogs charity and is being used to sponsor three real guide dog puppies. We will get “Pupdates” on their progress and with each “Pupdate” we will receive teaching resources and class activity sheets covering a range of topics: from how guide dogs train to what it’s like to be visually impaired, along with take home freebies for every child.
The new School Councillors for 2016 – 2017 continued the previous work and have spread the message about the puppies across the school. The School Councillors were very excited to receive information about the puppies they are sponsoring. The names of the puppies are: Lexi, Zac and Una.
