I have lived in Tow Law most of my life, growing up living in Weardale Crescent and attending Wolsingham Comp. I have raised my three children who have all attended or currently attend Tow Law Millennium, starting way back in 2004/2005 with my oldest.
I am a Teaching Assistant at Peases West Primary School and thoroughly enjoy working in education and with children. As part of my role, I have knowledge of the current curriculum which I find is an advantage when making choices about how our school is run. I can’t remember exactly when I became a parent governor, as it’s been so long, it was about 14 years ago. But since that day, I have tried to be a voice for parents and help make decisions and choices that will benefit all our children.
I am very passionate about giving Tow Law Millennium pupils what they need and I have had an active part in the fundraising group, the toddler group and volunteering within school over the years.
This year I became Chair of Governors, after previously being Vice Chair for some years. My whole life since becoming a mother has been in some way connected to working with children and doing what is best for them and I intend to carry on doing this for Tow Law Millennium.
