Durham County Councillor for Tow Law and the Hilltop Villages. I am passionate about providing our children the best start in life, through education and social activity, to ensure that they can develop into well-rounded, successful and ambitious young people and adults. I have lived in Tow Law my whole life, and feel very connected to our town and our community. I have been a member of the governing body since 2018, and currently serve as Vice-Chair of Governors.
In my many roles, as Councillor, member of the Durham and Darlington Fire (and rescue) Authority, the Three Towns Partnership, etc. I have developed and improved many skills that help me to fulfil my responsibilities as a governor. I have also been well-placed to support Tow Law Millennium with wider community engagement projects, such as bringing back our School Crossing patrols, and the safe-parking campaign.
