We hosted a Scholastic book fayre at school during the a full week. It started on Monday November 28 until Thursday 1 December where the book fayre was an integral part of our Christmas Fayre. A group of year 6 children ran the fayre with adult support and this experience helped them grow in confidence, as they needed to calculate bills, help their customers, set up the books, organise the books and then pack away each day.
The children managed to sell £434 worth of books and this meant the school could get the equivalent in free books for the school. In this respect all children benefited as we bought a range of books for all classes, so thank you to everyone who supported the book fayre.
