Year 5 and 6 children went to Bishop Barrington School on Friday 27th May to take part in a Basketball festival. Basketball is a very strenuous game and the children worked exceptionally hard to practice and improve their skills. Unfortunately the rules were changed on the day of the competition and they suddenly had to play full court basketball rather than half court basketball ( which is what they had been told they would play on) This didn’t deter them and they focused from the first whistle and the team of 8 players rotated to play 4 a side basketball. After some tense matches the team triumphed and achieved 3rd place and some bronze medals. Well done to everyone who played!
